Today was a beautiful day.
Now that I've said that, I have to pause to figure out why for a couple minutes.
Hmm . . . well, I was fairly pleased with the results of my new "soundtracks" playlist on my iPod. The list is in need of slight tweaking because not every song makes me walk faster and smile.
By the way, the circulation desk here at the HBLL closes in 15 minutes (at 11). They are very nice to announce it over the loudspeakers every night. Despite the temptation to stay here until midnight so I can hear the cool closing music they play at 11:45, I would much prefer use this time for sleep. I doubt I will accomplish anything else tonight.
I have this new idea for a novel stewing in my head. The other day I came up with the name Alvin for the medieval character but I am still looking for the perfect modernish name for his present-day, female counterpart. Alvin, by the way, is sort of a wizard in training. He is in charge of defending the lands surrounding a castle. Unfortunately, Obi-wan-kawizard-trainer makes like a person with an arrow through their heart and dies (I couldn't come up with a better analogy than that off the top of my head).
Didn't I just say I was going to go to bed 15 minutes ago? I think I'll do so.
